They say that birds of a feather flock together. If that’s true, then the future bodes well for the marriage of Alicia and Daquan Crenshaw, as both of them share the same employer: The Perfect Home Care.

The couple – they live in the Bronx, NY – are both employed as aides by the agency. And Alicia is quick to point out that they share more than a common employer. “We both really enjoy caring for seniors,” she says. “We find it very rewarding and satisfying.”
Alicia, 24, and Daquan, 27, have been married for two years. “A lot of folks think we met on the job,” says Alicia. “But that’s not the case at all. Actually, we dated for seven years prior to being married.”
Alicia primarily works hourly cases at The Perfect Home Care, while Daquan is assigned to a live-in case. Consequently, they don’t see each other every day. But Daquan is quick to point out that the separation is not an issue. “When we’re not working, we always make certain we spend our free time together,” he says. ”We’re very close.”
Alicia agrees that the separation is not an issue. “Quite the contrary,” she says. “Even though our shifts are different, I think working together is cool. The common experience strengthens our bonds.”
